Hello D-22 Friends!

It's probably one of the busiest weeks of the year at D-22.  On Friday you can catch Beijing's new wave of bands:  RWF, The K, Steely Heart and Toy Head. On Saturday we bring you 4 of the rising stars in the Beijing music galaxy: Guai Li, Candy Monster, Fire Balloon, and The Gar. And to top it all off, our Christmas Spectacular will be next Monday (Xmas Eve) with Beijing's greatest bands sharing the bill: Queen Sea Big Shark The Scoff, Casino Demon, Ourselves Beside Me, and Candy Monster.  See you at D-22 this week!

Friday December 21
 10+pm:  While most of Beijing’s best bands perform guitar-driven, noise-inspired rock, a group of fresh young bands emerging from the western part of Beijing are hoping to sweep away the art and return to the glories of dancing, fucking and drinking.  RWF and The K, the intoxicated leaders of the newest wave of the Beijing sound, are joined by Steely Heart and Toy Head.

Saturday December 22
 10+pm:  December 22 must be the official D22 night (not that we don’t have lots of other “official” nights), and we’ve been told over and over again that D22 is the place where all the “next big bands” are born, so what better way to celebrate than to showcase four of the bands that we are sure will be Among next year’s hottest bands? Guai Li, Candy Monster, Fire Balloon, and The Gar take the stage.

Monday December 24
10pm:  It’s Christmas Eve, and time for us all to gather together cozily, drink warm drinks, and pray for peace on earth.  On the other hand we can just go watch some of the greatest bands in China drink too much and tear the stage apart.  Queen Sea Big Shark are joined by Scoff, Casino Demon, Ourselves Beside Me, and Candy Monster for what promises to be one of the best nights of the year.
